The Collinsville High School Marching Band
The Collinsville High School Marching Band is an extra-curricular activity that meets after school Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during the fall semester (August-October). There are parade rehearsals/performances in the summer, a summer band camp, as well as competitions (including the Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival) and all home football game performances during the fall semester. All students must be enrolled in one of the CHS Concert Bands (excluding color guard members that do not play an instrument).
Please note that it is not a requirement for all students enrolled in the CHS Concert Bands to be in the Marching Band. It is highly recommended that students join the CHS Marching Band as there are many benefits to the students who grow through this athletic experience. The CHS Marching Band is the single largest student organization on campus!
NOTE: The 2013 Marching Band Season kicks off on June 1st! Be sure you check CHARMS for the summer rehearsal schedule. If you are interested in participating in CHS Marching Band and have not yet spoken to Mr. Wright, CHS Band Director, please do so as soon as possible.

CHS Marching Kahoks Earn Best AUXILARY & Second Place Overall In Christmas in St. Louis Parade
November 22, 2012 (St. Louis, MO) - Members of the CHS Marching Band once again competed in the Christmas in St. Louis Parade on Thanksgiving Day as part of the city's annual holiday season festivities. 14 St. Louis area high school marching bands participated in the 2012 parade with Honors of BEST AUXILARY and Second Place Overall. The event wrapped up the High School Marching Band Season and the Kahoks did an amazing job! Happy Holidays from CHS Marching Band!

Collinsville Marching Kahoks Earn 2nd Place, BEST MUSIC and BEST AUXILIARY at Belleville East Marching Invitational for "Rise of the Machines" Performance!
October 27th - (Lebanon, IL) The Collinsville, IL High School Marching Band finished their award winning season by earning 2nd Place in Class AA competition at The Belleville East High School Marching Invitational. 15 bands from the St. Louis Metro area competed across 3 divisions based on band size. The band also was proud to win Best Auxiliary in Class AA competition.

CHS COMPETES AT BANDS OF AMERICA SUPER REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!
October 20th, 2012 (St. Louis, MO) - The Collinsville, IL High School Marching Band performed in competition during the Bands of American Super Regional Competition held at the Edward Jones Dome. Performing an early morning time slot of 7:30am, the Marching Kahoks gave an excellent performance to a growing crowd of participants. 56 schools from the Midwestern region competed in preliminary competition. Lebanon, IL - Collinsville High School Marching Band honored in Class 3A Competition for Best Music, Best Auxillary, Best Visual, Best General Effect, Best Percussion, and FIRST Place! They also took home the prestigious GRAND CHAMPIONS trophy for Class 1A, 2A and 3A Competition. Way to go Marching Kahoks!

July 4, 2012 - (KMOV.com) -- During the 135th Annual Veiled Prophet Parade, bands from the St. Louis region competed for bragging rights as the top band.
